About 4MyEarth® Fabrics that we use for our wraps and pockets & why is it unique & eco friendly?
When researching the many fabrics available for our wraps and pockets it was important that it meet certain standards that should be important to everyone. We did not want just any old fabric that is called food safe, or one that at the end of its use cannot break down. With all of this in mind it took over 6 months to find a suitable material that was confirmed and had been tested to ensure that it was safe and non-toxic and suitable to be used with food. Tests conducted by SGS which evaluates and screens for any harmful substances present within processed textiles intended to come into contact with consumers are done so to meet those standards of Oeko-Tex 100 standards.
4MyEarth® Fabrics that we use for our wraps and pockets is polyester and is manufactured under strict conditions to ensure that there are no harmful substances present while been manufactured and at the same time being conscious of our environment.

With so many concerns with plastics and their effects on our bodies such as preservatives 320 & 321 4MyEarth® Fabrics are a great alternative to clip seal bags and plastic wrap.
How to use wraps:
Lay wrap down flat with the coating facing you, place sandwich, roll, bun etc in middle. Fold left to right then bottom and top and fasten with Velcro strapping.
At 4MyEarth® we have worked out a rough guide as to how much a child would use in plastic wrap based on a sandwich, muffin and nuts/sultanas in their lunch bag each day for a year. We worked it out to be 105meters of plastic wrap that would be dumped into our ever increasing landfill. Times this by a small school of 450 students and it comes to a massive 47'250meters per year!
